This mansion is said to be haunted by the former mistress of the home. Witnesses have reported seeing Mrs. Vaile looking through the window and have spotted her all around the property. This home dates back to the 1850's and is said to be haunted by ghostly soldiers. Their spirits have been spotted on the balconies and guarding the doors. The farm is quite close to where the Civil War Battle of Westport took place and this house was used as a temporary hospital for those who were injured, from both the Union and Confederate sides. This mansion dates back to 1883 and is rumored to be haunted by a Christmas ghost. It was built by Edwin Dean for his daughter Lulu and her husband David Glenn.
